Nature awaits us with extraordinary beauty: swamps, marshes, lakes and streams are natural treasures that give charm and variety to any trail. We almost forgot - we will even climb mountains! Ok, these will be mounds, but you will also need to climb them.
We even have a few options for this hike. You can connect to us in Kaunas and Vilnius (we will travel by our transport). On Saturday we will march from Ginučiai settlement to the “capital” of Aukštaitija National Park - Palūšė. We will spend the night near Lake Ūkojis. Dinner, sauna and autumn lake water will help you relax after the hike. The budget for such a trip is EUR 50.
It is possible to join the hikes only on arrival with your own transport with or without accommodation (35 EUR.). (On the first day after the hike we will transport you to your car, on the second day we will go in a circle). The price of one hike is 7 EUR.
Hiking plan:
1 day
Within a distance of 20 kilometers:
◾ We will climb to the mounds of Papiliakalnis, Ginučiai, Ladakalnis.
◾ We will see lakes Ukojis, Linkmenas, Alksnis, Asalnykščiai, Asalns and Lūšis.
Day 2
The next day we will head towards Ginučiai, who is famous for his beautiful mill. Within a distance of 15 kilometers:
◾ We will see a beekeeping museum. It is the only beekeeping museum in Lithuania protected by sculptures of pagan gods and invites you to get acquainted with the secrets of beekeeping. In the territory of the museum it is fun to walk and taste honey.
◾ We will march near Almaja, Pakasas, Ūkoja lakes and climb the Šiliniškės observation tower.
◾ On our way we will also see two water mills: Ginučiai and Pakas.
