Ignalina District Tourism Information Center

A new tourist information center has opened its doors

Ignalina is a young city celebrating its 155th birthday this year. It dates back to when the Warsaw-St. Petersburg railway was built and the first train passed through Ignalina.

It was by train that the first tourists from neighboring and further afield began to travel here half a century ago. The surroundings of the Ignalina region are eagerly chosen for their active recreation by guests from all over Lithuania and now. For the convenience of their travel planning, a new Ignalina District Tourist Information Visitor Center (TIC'iukas) opened its doors today, located near the main public transport points (bus and railway stations) and the busy road towards Palūšė.

TIC's premises are equipped with similar constructions found in many cities and well recognized. It is also a kind of contribution to the development of sustainable tourism, when older things are renewed and revived.

This season, Ignalina is preparing more news and entertainment for its guests. Come on in, take a look and enjoy yourself!

At TIC'iuke you will find the tourist information you need, souvenirs with Ignalina attributes, as well as works by local craftsmen and, of course, employees who will meet and accompany you with a smile.

So, congratulations to everyone on the upcoming summer, we invite you to visit and celebrate Ignalina's birthday together.

See you in Ignalina!
