By experimenting with thread colors, you will immerse yourself in the creative process, during which you will make a unique doll. Such dolls can be hung on bags, backpacks, handbags, keys, in the car or simply kept as a home interior detail. After the education, you will take the dolls you made with you. Wax mare-linen tail: during the education, participants will get acquainted with the casting of pure wax candles and the traditions of this craft. They will also learn how traditional ancient candles are cast, how wax is prepared, and what threads are used to make a wick. We will introduce you to such education together with local craftswoman Laima Mikalkiene. Participants will try out candle-making methods themselves (casting, soaking, pouring onto a wick). During the education, participants' creativity, communication, and cooperation with each other are developed. And by preserving and nurturing the values of traditional crafts, the horizons of ethnic culture are expanded. The final result is self-made tea candles. After the education, everyone will have a discussion over a cup of tea made from Ceikiniai heat-dried herbs and natural honey collected by local beekeepers. Duration about 60 minutes. Bandit Dolls: a fun and exciting activity, during which we will make and get acquainted with the production of bandit dolls. By experimenting with pieces of fabric, you will immerse yourself in the creative process, during which you will make a unique doll. A bandit doll is unique in that it is made only by placing and tying one piece at a time. Such dolls can be kept as home interior details, they are a great toy for children, and maybe... a great gift. After the education, you will take the made dolls with you. Duration about 60 minutes. Colored salt: a cheerful and fun activity, during which we will make colored salt decorations. We will invite you to a colorful education together with Raminta Dudenaite. By mixing colors, creating and experimenting, you will immerse yourself in real therapy. By adding essential oil, such salt decorations become great home fragrances. The decorations can be kept as home interior details, or perhaps... given as a great gift. Duration about 60 minutes. Number of participants 15 – 20. Intended for mixed age groups.
Candles from wax cones: do you think that candles can only be cast? We invite you to try a different way of making candles, which we will offer together with our local craftswoman Laima Mikalkiene. She has been casting candles for more than 20 years. The woman took over the traditions of candle casting from her husband's mother and continues to willingly share this craft with those around her, actively participates in various activities, and makes her region famous with this craft. During this education, we will not make traditional ancient candles, but we will try another new method – spinning candles from wax cones. By experimenting with essential oils, herbs collected and dried in the fields, you will create a unique handmade candle. Duration about 60 minutes. Number of participants 20 – 25. Intended for mixed age groups.
