The sculpture standing in the city square at the intersection of Laisvės and Aukštaičių streets is dedicated to the memory of Vytautas Šerėnas.
The sculpture was unveiled on June 6, 2025. Author – Jonas Grunda.
The legendary show „Dviračio žinios“ featured the characters Bratkas, played by Vytautas Šerėnas. According to the Ignalina District Municipality, Ūsas and Barzdonas revealed the expressive features of the Ignalina people and perfectly conveyed and made the unique dialect known to the whole of Lithuania. The idea to erect the sculpture „Hello, Bratka“ was born to Vytautas Šerėnas’ school friend, sculptor Jonas Grunda, who did not get to see the final result of this work. Sculptor Jolanta Raupelytė-Balkevičienė contributed the most to the completion of the sculpture.
