The city of Ignalina is surrounded by eight lakes. A favorite place for walks for guests and locals is the shore of lake Paplovinis. During the summer season, near the bridge connecting the two shores of the lake, a fountain gushes out of the lake. On a sunny day, you will see a rainbow in its spray, and the evening lighting allows you to see it even while traveling by train.
