Mečionys Village

A two-sided street village, founded in the second half of the 16th century, during the Wallachian Reform. The village has 8 monumental homesteads and 7 individual monumental buildings. Mėčionys was first mentioned in the chronicles of the Dysna Manor in 1644. The village of 21 homesteads has been declared an architectural monument.
