Mushrooms grow all year round in the Ignalina region. It's fun to take a photo with such a mushroom or hide behind it when it rains. The mushrooms are placed before the turn to Vidiškės.
On one side of the road is a mushroom that was restored in 2018 thanks to the Vidiškės eldership, reviving a composition that dates back several decades. The restoration work and creation of new mushrooms were done by Nerija Daubarė.
On the other side of the road is a gift from the Ignalina town eldership to Ignalina on the occasion of its 150th birthday. It is meaningful that all the work was done by Ignalina residents. The wood for the mushrooms was donated, and the molds were made by the Ignalina company UAB "Movita." The mushrooms were primed, painted, coated with special lacquer, and their installation sites were concreted by eldership workers. They also created the head of the large mushroom.
Thus, everything was done wholeheartedly and with great enthusiasm.
