Č. Kudaba and the then youngest village man Ž. Lukoševičius planted an oak tree nearby. When they were asphalting the road through the village, everyone was afraid that the road workers would destroy the oak tree. Thanks to Bronė Blažienė for preserving the oak tree growing on the roadside. A memorial plaque carved by P. Gaižutis was erected next to it in memory of the prominent Lithuanian person who planted it, a signatory, professor, and one of the founders of the Aukštaitija National Park – Č. Kudaba.
