Around the Mekšrinis pond, even before autumn arrived, little mushrooms started popping up: porcini mushrooms, red-capped boletes, and beautiful fly agarics. Walking along the path, you could find one, two, or even a whole group... In total, 25. As said by Jonas Polito, the elder of Ignalina who organized the mushroom planting, they were skillfully carved from oak by Romas Vitėnas and artistically painted by Nerija Daubarė. Thus, a simple forest path in the valley became wonderfully charming. Enjoy your walks.
