The church is located in the village of Vosiūnai, on the right bank of the Dysna River, near the Belarusian border. The construction of the church began in 1918 under the care of priest Vaclovas Giedrys. Under the care of priest Juozas Ercius, in 1919 the construction of the church began in Kazėnai (2 km from Vosiūnai). A temporary chapel was installed. Due to disagreements with the landowner, construction was not started. In 1921, priest J. Ercius built the current church. The church has unusual proportions, basilican, low, wide, with a turret on the apse. The interior has 3 naves, and the churchyard fence is made of metal mesh.
