Murcof is a pseudonym for Mexican electronic musician Fernando Corona. F. Corona was born in 1970. In Tijuana, Mexico. 1999-2002 was a member of the Tichuan-based electronic music group Nortec Collective. At that time, the performer introduced himself under the pseudonym Terrestre. Since 2006 Mr Corona lives in Barcelona, Spain.
Murcof creates minimalist electronics with sophisticated percussion rhythms, industrial, dub and IDM music spices. Many of his works are abstract, irregular. Melodies inspired by classical music - heard in modern classical music, musique concrète, micropolyphony, baroque and others. the influence of music. The concert will feature works from Murcof's latest album, The Alias Sessions. The album was born out of a long-term collaboration with the Geneva-based dancer troupe Guilherme Botelho's Alias. The Alias Sessions is electronic music created for the dance performances Contre-Mondes (2017) and Normal (2018). It carries both exceptional tension and a blissful sense of freedom. These are barely audible sounds and earth-shaking bosses.
